Featuring two cocktails and a mocktail
Whether or not you pair them with tacos, margaritas are undoubtedly one of the most festive cocktails. The bracing drink can be flavored with a variety of ingredients, though the original consists only of three: lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur (in the form of triple sec or Cointreau). However, margaritas are generally made far too sweet, which overpowers all the other flavors and renders the drink a sugar bomb. Here, New York City–based recipe developer Laura Rege created three cleaner (but no less enticing) versions using ingredients like cucumber water, carrot juice, and fresh pineapple.
