In commemoration of the Stonewall riots, which occurred 50 years ago this June, LGBTQ pride celebrations have long been held in June. In New York City, the festivities are extensive.
On June 8, Equinox will host a voguing event at the High Line Hotel. Join activists, organizers, and other New Yorkers outside the Stonewall Inn for a rally on Friday, June 28 before the annual city-wide Pride March that Sunday.
Explore Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival

At this year’s installment, there will be over 150 musical performances spread out over 10 stages on a sprawling 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. Expect wide-ranging acts, such as headliners Phish, Childish Gambino, and Post Malone, and refueling options that include locally-sourced sunset feasts benefiting grassroots causes. At the 5K Roo Run x ASICS, glitter, fairy wings, and costumes are encouraged.

At Aspen Ideas: Health, over 175 speakers will discuss topics from the frontiers of health and medicine like genomics and artificial intelligence. The lineup will feature experts like Victor Dzau, president of the National Academy of Medicine, and Aviv Regev, a biology professor at MIT and a major voice in the Human Cell Atlas project.

Witness sporting history as the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees compete across the pond. London Stadium will be transformed into a 60,000-seat ballpark for the London Series, the first two regular season Major League Baseball games in Europe.

June 19 to August 25: Collision/Coalition
For this exhibition, The Shed commissioned works that explore the role of art within opposing social, cultural, and political forces. In June, two renowned contemporary artists, Tony Cokes and Oscar Murillo, will display their works. New pieces will be added in July.
June 19 to August 25: Beatriz González: A Documentary
This documentary film spotlights one of Colombia’s most celebrated artists, Beatriz González. It explores why her monumental public artwork Auras Anónimas, an installation of 8,957 tombstones, is under threat.
