Her workout routine includes HIIT, barre, and yoga
The Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter VÉRITÉ (born Kelsey Regina Byrne) has been a force in the alt-pop realm since she began releasing EPs in 2014. Amidst a busy recording and touring schedule, she manages to prioritize fitness. “Being in an exercise routine is so important for my sanity,” she tells Furthermore. “I need to wake up and work out first thing in the morning, pre-coffee.”
She complements HIIT and barre with occasional yoga sessions and embraces modern technology to stay in shape. “When I’m on the road, I’ll work out using instructor videos on my phone as often as possible,” she explains. “I’ll also make sure to keep my body moving every time the van stops.” Diet is a factor as well. “I try to eat clean and simple and stay as hydrated as possible and I’ll take a wellness formula to prevent sickness,” she adds.
Timed to the release of her album New Skin, VÉRITÉ compiled a playlist for Furthermore that includes her single “Good For It” as well as tracks from Childish Gambino, Rosalía, and MUNA.
