On awards season and why you should work out with your hair down
Even if you’re not yet familiar with Ashley Streicher’s name, you’ve likely seen her work. The Los Angeles-based hair stylist has a loyal following of high-profile celebrity clients (including Mandy Moore, Rachel Brosnahan, and Anne Hathaway) who turn to her for award show and red carpet looks. She also makes up one-third of STRIIIKE, a beauty studio she started with her sisters, eyebrow guru Kristie and make-up artist Jenn.
Away from the salon, the sisters spend their downtime in nature. "We like to adventure and go hiking and snowboarding," says Ashley. Most recently, the trio went fly fishing in Colorado and Ashley hiked Mount Kilimanjaro and reached Mount Everest Base Camp. "It’s how I was raised," she says. "I grew up in a small town in Northern California and was always outside. My dad was a big outdoorsman and he would take me adventuring."
The youngest Streicher sister took time out of her busiest season to chat with Furthermore about her favorite red carpet look, her affinity for the outdoors, and common athlete hair mistakes.
