The FARM Rio co-founder on their adidas collab and sustainability initiative
When asked how she would describe her home city of Rio de Janeiro, Katia Barros, co-founder and creative director of women's clothing brand FARM Rio used the words "playful, joyful, and authentic." These adjectives also speak to the ethos of the apparel line she started in 1997 with co-founder Marcello Bastos. The bold, ready-to-wear pieces, which include airy trousers and dresses, patterned puffers, swimsuits, and more, are made from textured and printed fabrics that draw inspiration from the Brazilian seaside metropolis.
Barros talked with Furthermore about FARM Rio's collaboration with adidas, her favorite parts of Carnival, and how they're expanding globally.
