Equinox’s newest program combines cutting-edge biomarker evaluations and training strategies to help you achieve a high-performance life.
Years of research have shown that maximizing your health and longevity requires you to address movement, nutrition, and regeneration in tandem. That’s the Equinox ethos — the “have it all” philosophy that led you to the Club. And it’s also what inspired the company’s new program focused on propelling human potential forward: EQX Optimize.
EQX Optimize, Explained
EQX Optimize introduces a holistic approach to high-performance living. The program integrates the highest standards in personal training with cutting-edge research to create a first-of-its-kind, full-spectrum performance strategy.
EQX Optimize uses biomarker capture courtesy of Equinox’s new partner, Function Health, to reach a level of programmatic specificity and actionable insights that weren’t attainable — until now. Members will work with a team of experts to adapt their training program based on regular biomarker monitoring and resulting feedback loops.
This program evolves — like you.
How It Works
EQX Optimize will look different for everyone, and that’s the point. Your primary Tier X Coach will connect you to a team of practitioners, each with a specific area of focus. All Equinox Coaches participating in EQX Optimize have mastered the rigorous Tier X curriculum and have hours of hands-on experience delivering results for clients. Additionally, these Coaches have participated in the internal education program at the Equinox Fitness Training Institute that’s specific to EQX Optimize. The training covers Function Health’s 100-plus lab tests, the importance of each biomarker, and specific protocols to deliver results and dramatically improve quality of life.
Step 1: Schedule and complete assessments, consultations, and lab work. You’ll start with a Tier X assessment. That includes an in-depth medical and fitness questionnaire, body composition index, movement screening, postural analysis, and metabolic rate measurement.
Step 2: Meet your dedicated Coach (if you don’t have one already) and receive your personalized plan.
Step 3: Evaluate and iterate. Consistent health optimization sessions — plus follow-up lab work over regular intervals — bring it all together to help you function at a higher level across the board. Your team will monitor your data points and results, adapting your program every six months as you progress.
Why Function Health?
Leading doctors across specialties, including Function Health’s co-founder and Chief Medical Officer Mark Hyman, have spent decades determining the comprehensive set of lab tests that should (ideally) be routinely done.
Function Health reflects this deep cross-specialty analysis across cardiology, oncology, endocrinology, immunology, nephrology, and more. Membership includes 100-plus lab tests for all major biological functions including heart, thyroid, autoimmunity, immune regulation, female health, male health, stress and aging, metabolic, nutrients, liver, kidney, pancreas, heavy metals, electrolytes, blood, and urine.
But more importantly, Function Health translates the data noise into meaningful information. Comprehensive testing has historically presented major hurdles to patients. If you’ve ever tried to decipher hard-to-read PDFs or Googled what blood test results mean — Function Health isn’t that. Instead, Function Health organizes all that data into information you can interpret and, more importantly, use.
With the help of your EQX Optimize team, data is turned into actions, changes, and adjustments that you can implement into your routine and life. This is the program for the Equinox member who wants it all. And with EQX Optimize, you’ve got it.
