Saturdays NYC brings its renowned surf style to the Shop at Equinox with a new collaboration.
Saturdays NYC — an apparel and lifestyle brand synonymous with surf culture and design — didn’t start with clothing.
Born in the heart of New York City in 2009, Saturdays NYC initially took shape as a café and surf shop, offering a tightly curated selection of clothing and accessories from other brands. The unique offering fused the freedom of leisurely weekend activities with a sartorial style that reflected the vibrant spirit of NYC. “Saturdays was born and bred in NYC culture,” says co-founder Morgan Collett. “We have embraced what it means to be a New Yorker and ingrained this into our DNA.”

For much of the last 15 years, the café influenced the fashion landscape by, first and foremost, embracing culture and community. But of late, Saturdays NYC has transformed into a global ready-to-wear brand. “We are venturing into new categories like grooming, womenswear, suiting, activewear, and main fashion collections,” says Collett. “We are a brand in constant evolution, always innovating.” The decision to introduce womenswear was a direct response to customer demand. “We noticed a significant number of female customers shopping the men’s collection and had always wanted to focus on offering a women’s line,” he explains. “During the pandemic, we worked closely with our incredible design team to bring this to life.”
As part of its rapid expansion, Saturdays NYC is teaming up with Equinox, a collaboration that brings nine of its most versatile menswear tops, tanks, shorts, and sweats to The Shop. The partnership with the Shop at Equinox is a natural extension of Saturdays’ philosophy, says Collett. “Equinox represents so much of what Saturdays believes in: an active global lifestyle with a design aesthetic that has global influence,” he adds.
This collection, designed to seamlessly transition members from the Club to the street, is a testament to both brands’ commitment to keeping up with consumers’ active lifestyles. “We love so many activities, from surfing, skateboarding, running, cycling, golf, and more. We take pride in designing collections that can be integrated into your everyday life around town or while being active and enjoying the sports you desire,” says Collett. “There are no boundaries.”
