Personalized run coaching, backed by the science and strategy of Precision Run, is now available at select Clubs.
Precision Run has never been more personal.
After years of sweating through Precision Run classes in the studio and on-demand, members can now unlock access to one-on-one, in-person run training, aptly named Precision Run Coaching. The new offering is currently available in select Clubs throughout New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, Dallas, and Houston.
Just like every Precision Run class you take online or in real life, each personally coached training session is precise, balanced, and backed by science. You’ll have access to the same custom-engineered Woodway treadmills during indoor runs at the Club. You’ll hear the motivational cues that are central to the PR experience. The difference: Your Precision Run Coach is right there with you, providing one-of-a-kind guidance and tools that align with both your long-term goals and short-term needs.

Upon registering, you’ll be paired with a Precision Run-certified Coach — an advanced Equinox Group Fitness Instructor or Personal Training Coach who has undergone rigorous run coach training. After an Equifit assessment, you and your PR Coach will work together to set a program goal. Ready to race? Choose between a 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or marathon regimen. Looking to become a stronger, faster, or more confident runner? Your Run Coach will craft a plan to get you there. Once that’s settled, you’ll meet with your Run Coach for routine training sessions — usually strength workouts, with solo runs for homework — and start seeing the results.
Thanks to the personalized training approach, Precision Run Coaching helps aspiring or long-time runners progress their fitness and tackle loftier goals, whether it be a first 5K or a faster half marathon, without burning out. In fact, two Equinox members successfully raced their first marathons in fall 2023 with the help of a Precision Run Coach.
But Precision Run Coaching is just as valuable for the members who aren’t runners — the heavy-lifting athletes who are uncomfortable outside of the weight floor or those who feel like they simply, well, suck at running. Expect your Coach to meet you where you’re at and encourage you through a program that has the power to change your relationship with cardio and lead to impressive health benefits.
To Precision Run founder David Siik, the launch of one-on-one run coaching seals the deal: Equinox is the ultimate destination for a high-performance lifestyle. “Equinox has everything you need, like absolutely everything you need to successfully run either your first 5k or your best 5k, [for example],” he says. “We have regeneration. We have spa, strength training classes, personal training — the list goes on and on.”
It’s long been a one-stop shop for everything you need to better your best. The bespoke run coaching? That’s just the cherry on top. Book your first session in the app today.
