Fresh off a successful album release, the country star sets his sights on what truly matters in life.
For Kane Brown, there are three F-words that hold significant weight in his life: family, fans, and fitness.
The award-winning country star, who released his album The High Road in January, has been candid about his struggle with depression through the years. But no matter how many times he’s been knocked down or experienced dark moments in his life, Brown has never shied away from sharing his most vulnerable, authentic self with fans.
“I’m fortunate because I can express my feelings and tell my story through music,” Brown tells Equinox+. “Songs like ‘Haunted,’ ‘Learning’ and ‘When You Forget’ give me an outlet to talk about difficult subjects. Hopefully, me being open about my journey helps other people.”
Brown is slated to do just that when he kicks off his The High Road Tour on March 13. “I’m really excited to go on tour and play this new music live for the fans,” he shares. “The show is going to be incredible and a lot of fun.”

Bad mental health days don’t discriminate. Luckily, the Tennessee native is committed to a fool-proof plan to turn those days around. In addition to exercising his right to movement — whether that’s working out at home or sneaking in some pull-ups at the local gym while on tour — Brown’s ultimate hack is even simpler and more heartfelt.
“My kids are what elevate my mood,” he says of his three children with wife Katelyn. “Just hearing them laugh reminds me of the positive things in the world.”
