MOVE

Run with Des Linden.

In honor of the New York City Marathon, Precision Run creator David Siik invited Des Linden, two-time Olympian, winner of the 2018 Boston Marathon, and top American in last year’s New York City Marathon, to co-host a Variis workout: The Finisher. "There's nothing quite like the [NYC] marathon where you travel through all five boroughs and the scenes are incredible, so inspiring, [it's] an epic place to run," says Linden. "We're running in celebration of that today." Try this interval strategy from the run:

-Start at a medium run pace (5 to 6 out of 10) for 80 seconds.

-Run fast (7 to 8 out of 10) for 10 seconds.

-Recover for 60 seconds.

-Repeat the 90-second interval but this time, run the last 20 seconds fast.

Continue this pattern until you're running the full 90-second interval at a fast pace. "You're stronger than you think," says Linden. "Finish strong."

EAT

Make Devilish Eggs.

This healthier version of the classic hors d’oeuvre blends Greek yogurt and vitamin C-rich roasted red peppers for an orange Halloween-inspired hue. Garnish with a pinch of activated charcoal.

DE-STRESS

Put pumpkin on your face.

The seasonal fruit is also a beneficial beauty ingredient. “Using pumpkin topically is a way of getting in vitamins A, C, and E, plus essential fatty acids which help reduce the signs of aging and deliver moisture to the skin,” says Sheel Desai Solomon, MD, a dermatologist in Raleigh, North Carolina. Pumpkin’s natural acidity helps increase cell turnover, so skin appears smoother and more glowing. Adds Leah Gilmore, senior manager of operations at The Spa, "Pumpkin is one of my favorite enzymes." Here, three pumpkin-infused products to consider.

1. Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum: Apply in the morning, post-cleansing. Pumpkin’s fatty acids and vitamin C boost collagen, says Solomon.

2. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask: This exfoliating mask uses pumpkin enzymes to slough off dull skin and create a more even tone. Apply once or twice a week.

3. Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Glow Moisturizer: Pineapple, pumpkin, and papaya enzymes exfoliate and brighten the skin.
