Seasonal side: delicata squash
Thin-skinned delicata squash is rich in potassium and fiber, not to mention it cooks quickly. Here, it’s seasoned with a sweet-and-savory combination of cayenne pepper, garlic, honey, salt, and pepper, then roasted until golden brown. Pomegranate and pumpkin seeds make for a textural garnish. This recipe can be easily doubled or tripled; serve it as a seasonal side throughout the week.
Heart rate challenge: recovery
After your workouts, use your heart rate (HR) data to see how long it takes for your HR to get back to a resting level. “Compare the data between days where you've completed the same routine to see if you can reduce the time to reach recovery,” says Stan Ward, Tier X manager at Preston Hollow in Texas. If you notice it takes longer than usual to recover, this could be a sign that you're under-recovered generally, and need a rest day.
