Hamstring stretch: skandasana

This leg muscle is a focus of Kiley Holliday’s aptly named Skandasana Flow PURE Yoga class on Variis. From Warrior II, straighten out your front leg, turn your back toes out about 45 degrees, bend your left knee, and lower the hips all the way down or hovering above the ground. Put your hands in prayer, on the ground, or on blocks. To get out of the pose, push off of your left foot and come into a low lunge. Repeat on the other side.

EAT

Superfood side: tahini green beans

This simple side, which was inspired by the traditional green bean casserole, should be on your Thanksgiving menu. It takes just 10 minutes to make and showcases nutritious ingredients like crisp green beans, protein-rich tahini, and turmeric pickled onions. You could prep the pickled onions and dressing today—they’ll both last for up to a week.

DE-STRESS

Learn from the past.

“I like to read an actual book with pages to turn to de-stress,” says Cooper Mann, a Tier X coach at Columbus Circle in New York City. “Historical non-fiction is my favorite because it takes my mind off of the day-to-day and lets me learn from the past.” A couple of his picks: A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson and Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.
