TRAIN, THEN CHILL.
AVOID EATING JET LAG.
Recent research shows that eating later on weekends can shock your system and lead to weight gain by throwing off blood sugar regulation, digestion, and calorie burn.
The first meal of the day has the biggest effect on these factors, so have brunch at your usual breakfast time. There’s a grace period of an hour in either direction, but more than that could have consequences on your BMI.
UPGRADE YOUR SHOWER.
When you shower today, step out of the direct stream of water and massage a few drops of essential oil on your body. Try chamomile or lavender, which have relaxing effects.
Massage the oil onto your neck, shoulders, lower back, or anywhere else you feel tense or sore. Pro tip: If your shower’s hot, the steam will open up your nasal passageways and pores, maximizing the effect.
DISH UP GREAT SEX.
“A sexual menu is a way to get the otherwise hard conversations about turn-ons and fantasies started,” says psychotherapist Todd Baratz, LMHC, who specializes in sex and relationships.
1. Get paper and a pen.
2. Take turns picking 3 different “dishes” (things you’d like to try) to put on your menu for the week.
3. Decide who gets to “order” first.
