FIND REAL CALM.
BARK UP THE RIGHT TREAT.
Swirl the yogurt and berries you have for smoothies into a frozen dessert bark. All it takes is 10 minutes. Make extra for Monday night (or morning).
BINGE THIS WAY.
Binge-watching can have downsides like constricting blood flow, increasing inflammation, and causing you to eat more high-cal foods. Dramas and other anxiety-inducing genres can make you stressed long after you turn off the screen.
Experts recommend limiting viewing to three hours (and prioritizing light-hearted content if possible) and changing your body position every 15 minutes. Afterwards, leave the couch and spend at least 30 minutes on something screen-free, like yoga or reading.
FEEL CONNECTED THROUGH ART.
Research from the University of Oregon posits that image-based social media use—compared to text-based platforms like Twitter—may actually reduce loneliness.
Combat quarantine blues with an IGTV art workshop courtesy of Art Production Fund in collaboration with Rockefeller Center.
Join a different artist every Sunday at 11 a.m. EDT for a start-to-finish tutorial. A past workshop focused on recreating a famous still life artwork using unexpected supplies found at home.
