How can I sign up for Virtual Yoga?
If you are interested in starting a Virtual Yoga practice, please fill out the questionnaire linked in the Virtual Yoga by Equinox section of your app or reach out to the Virtual Yoga team directly at virtualyoga@equinox.com. Upon completing the intake questionnaire, our
Virtual Yoga Manager will reach out directly to schedule your introductory session.
What is the introductory session?
After completing the intake form and speaking with our Virtual Yoga Manager, you will be paired with one of our expert yoga instructors for an introductory session. During this time, you will discuss your current at-home setup, including what equipment, technology, and space you have access to. Additionally, this is the time for your instructor to learn more about your health history and unique goals. Your 60-minute introductory session is $80 and will be purchased on your behalf by the Virtual Yoga Manager using a card on file, or another card of your choice.
During your introductory session, you and your instructor will get to know each other and discuss what you’re looking to achieve in your virtual practice so that you can unlock the results you want—whether they’re physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.
Here’s an overview of what to expect in the 60-minute introductory session:
· Getting to Know You: The first 10 minutes of your session is a time for you to discuss what you are looking to achieve in your Virtual Yoga practice, and talk to your instructor about your current lifestyle, goals, interests, and any medical concerns they should be aware of. This introductory session is designed to enable our yoga instructors to better understand your health and establish a baseline to use to design your program.
· Guided Yoga Practice: Your yoga instructor will then take you through a sample yoga practice to assess your current mobility, current yoga experience, and give you an idea of what to expect in your virtual one-on-one session.
· Expectations and Next Steps: The last 10 minutes of your session will be a time for you to talk about what you liked or disliked about the sample practice and discuss with your instructor what you would like your future yoga sessions to look like so they can customize your program.
What type of Yoga practice can I expect in a virtual session?
During the onboarding process, you will be asked a series of questions and experience an introductory session that will help determine what type of practice is right for you. Our Virtual Yoga Manager and your dedicated yoga instructor will then create a program specific to you.
